When I run ThingCat/ThingCheck or SkinCat/SkinCheck, I get an error saying "Key not found in system registry", what does this mean?
It means "Key not found in system registry".
For SkinCheck or ThingCheck, you can upgrade to version 2.1.4. For ThingCat, you can upgrade to version 1.2.1
For all other SpaghettiSoft Sims software (or older versions of the above), you can download and run a Sims Key Patch (7Kb Zip file).
When I run ThingCat/ThingCheck or SkinCat/SkinCheck, I get an error saying that "an unnamed file was not found", what does this mean?
It means that you're trying to run the program while The Sims™ is also running.
[I told you NOT to do that!]
How do I get rid of an additional scan folder in ThingCheck/SkinCheck 2.x?
Click on the [Change] button to the right of the folder button, select any root drive (A, C, D, etc.) and click [OK].
[This is in the "ReadMe" file!]
I accidently deleted ObjectStripper, where can I download it again?
ObjectStripper (spIFFyy) isn't "user friendly" enough for me to feel comfortable making it freely available at this time. It can cause problems with your object files. Although these problems are minor and easily fixed, ThingCheck does not yet identify them.
Why doesn't SkinCheck read all the skins in FAR files?
I had to work around a bug that I couldn't figure out when reading certain FAR files. This problem is fixed for ThingCheck/SkinCheck 2.x, ThingCat 1.2+ and SkinCat.
Why doesn't BodyShop find my lingerie?
You're a guy, you shouldn't be wearing lingerie!
Okay, if none of this stuff helps and you insist on sending me e-mail about YOUR problem, include some details!
"It doesn't work" is no longer acceptable and I will not respond anymore.
This stuff is freeware, if you want my help, give me a detailed description of your problem, include your operating system, RAM, expansion packs, whatever you think may help me to help you.
